Terry Phelan Principal of architecture firm Living Shelter Design, located in Issaquah, Washington. The firm heartily promotes the use of environmentally sound building practices, and has used alternative materials including straw bale, Rastra, cob, and SIPS in numerous projects. Their work in straw bale homes has been published in several books and Mother Earth News magazine's 2004 Summer issue. Terry has been a member of the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild since 1995, and served as Secretary for the Central Washington Chapter for its first two years.
