Making it Easier to Build GREEN!
Help us Build the Database!
The Code Innovations
The database is a mechanism for local building officials, the building industry and the interested public to share information about examples of successfully permitted green building, high-performance, and other innovative construction techniques. The in-depth case studies found here focus on alternative compliance paths for innovative design strategies, materials and technology. The website offers a wealth of educational resources, a portal to green and high-performance building codes, and links to codes and standards organizations. To foster info sharing, we will publish a blog and featured case studies. We are currently in a "beta-test" period, during which we are seeking feedback and partnerships that will help us improve and grow the resources available on this site.

Many EcoBuilding Guild and OMB members will remember the Green Development stakeholder process convened by Thurston County in 2009. One idea that rose to the top was to create a database of green building techniques to help builders and code officials share information about innovative techniques.
