Tad Everhart's FutureFit Home

Tad Everhart, green building consultant and innovator in Portland, OR gave his home an extreme “Passive House” makeover, in the process pioneering approval for superior CO2 Heat Pump Water Heating technology widely used in Europe, which doesn’t yet have a UL Listing. Normally that wouldn’t be allowed, but Tad is determined to help “FutureFit” homes for a climate-friendly future, so he documented his alternative compliance path in a case study in The Code Innovations Database, to make it easier for others to follow his example. Help us add hundreds more case studies of successful innovations like this one, contribute to our Crowdrise campaign today!
