New Buildings Institute has a great resource for anyone interested in learning all the ways building developers are pursuing low-energy self-sustaining buildings.  The Getting to Zero Database.  Here you will find in-depth information about high performance buildings across the United States, Canada, and beyond. The database includes information on measured and modeled energy performance, environmental characteristics, design process, finances, and other aspects of each project. Members of the design and construction teams are listed, as are sources for additional information. Like many other green building databases, though, it doesn't seem to have information on permitting or compliance which is a critical piece for advancing regulatory progress. Find more answers to questions in the Getting to Zero Building Database and Registry FAQ. The Getting to Zero Project Portal is an access point to the DOE’s High Performance Buildings Database.

They are also teaming up with the Rocky Mountain Institute to host the premier global event dedicated to defining the future of low energy and zero energy buildings.  Attendees will share perspectives on the growth of ZE, discuss the policies driving new projects, engage in best practices for successful outcomes and collaborate on opportunities for ZNE to transform the built environment.  You can join leading designers, owners, operators, commercial real estate professionals, policymakers, manufacturers and others on April 17-19 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the 2018 Getting to Zero National Forum.
