SOUTHsound Green Tour
The South Sound Chapter is hosting their 2nd annual green tour, featuring a variety of deep green projects and workshops to help participants easily visualize solutions for their home or business remodel projects.
Seattle Green Home Tour
This year, the Seattle Chapter is joining in the fun with it's own green home tour, featuring tour sites in and around Seattle (King & Snohomish Counties).
Both the South Sound Green Tour and the Seattle Green Home Tour, which are free and open to the general public, will highlight a variety of green building, remodeling and retrofitting techniques, as well as a host of greener lifestyle options, including:
- The new Passive House standard, demonstrating the value of super energy-efficient construction
- How homes and their occupants can approach ‘Net Zero Energy’ use
- Built Green®, NW Energy Star for Homes, and LEED for Homes certified projects
- How to incorporate energy and water efficiency, improved into air quality and increased comfort into small and large home remodel projects
- How to choose, where to purchase, and how to install or use eco-friendly products available today
