Saving the Old

Will energy retrofitting save the planet ?

Featuring an expert panel of green remodelers and a green realtor

The evening will open with a frank look at the state of the global climate and of the local housing stock.  The bulk of the session will delve into the aspirations and tribulations of our panelists as they work daily on the front lines of buying, selling, marketing, and remodeling green houses.  We will close with a suggested path forward.

Canuche Terranella    Green Canopy Homes

Canuche works to inspire resource efficiency in the residential market. He believes that to be inspirational projects need to be beautiful, efficient and profitable. To that end Green Canopy Homes has bought, renovated and sold more than 40 homes in the Seattle market.

Jason Lear    Batt + Lear

Jason believes that we have the opportunity to transform the nation’s 130 million existing houses into a part of our environment that will thrive by making them significantly more energy efficient than they are.

Amy Towillis    Rhino Roz Realty

Amy is EcoBroker certified and has the National Association of REALTORS Green Designation.  She strives to help clients learn how to become better green homeowners.

Jon Alexander    Sunshine Construction

Jon is known nationally for green building and remodeling.  His award-winning projects include both the first new home and the first remodel to be awarded Built Green 5 Stars.
