Did You Know?

*Glass placed in recycle bins isn’t made into bottles, but ground into glass cullet?
*Glass Cullet is a perfect substitute for pea gravel or sand aggregates in construction
*It costs 50%-65% less than virgin material
*It’s easier and cleaner to use, in wet weather
*It satisfies construction specs and gives LEED points

Glass aggregate is used in many local large and small construction projects.  The WA Department of Transportation has been using glass cullet for several years, because it provides the same function as sand and gravel and offers many advantages in our rainy climate.   Glass aggregate is available locally and is often significantly less expensive than similar materials.

If you’re not familiar with the product and want to understand the specs and benefits, come learn from a panel of experts and other builders.
