Infrastructure Week, a non-profit organization, convenes a national week of education and advocacy that brings together American businesses, workers, elected leaders, and everyday citizens around one message in 2019: Americans are waiting. The future won’t. It’s #TimeToBuild. Each year during IWeek, leaders and citizens around America highlight the state of our nation’s infrastructure – roads, bridges, rail, ports, airports, water and sewer systems, the energy grid, telecoms, and more – and the projects, technologies, and policies necessary to make America competitive, prosperous, and safe.

Infrastructure Week is a nation-wide week of events; media coverage; with education and advocacy efforts to elevate infrastructure as a critical issue impacting all Americans. For Seattle and the Puget Sound region, Utility² is shifting the focus of the local IW-2019 events to showcase some local successes within infrastructure; primarily how investing in, and carefully planning out these large capital projects have directly benefited our local communities, regional ecosystems, and are imperative to the sustainability of our Modernity. Our targeted audience is quite diverse, and simply stated as anyone who has a vested interest in planning, designing, building, maintaining, and/or operating assets within our public infrastructure, with the goal of providing an excellent opportunity for public engagement, exhibition, and humanizing such related efforts.
