Sunset Air's state-of-the-art office and showroom is recognized as the first privately-owned LEED Gold building in Washington.
LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance buildings. LEED Promotes a whole building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance is five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency materials selection and indoor environmental quality. High marks were awarded on the Sunset Air building for the HV AC systenm, energy efficient windows, low flow plumbing fixtures, tankless water heater, water-less urinals, smart landscaping, friendly lighting, locally made materials use of recycled materials and a heat-reflecting roof.
