DHPs are the current efficient heat darlings of city, state and Federal governments, but are they actually green and cost-effective?

Ductless heat pumps are green... and so much more. Mr. Pratt will explain why and give you the skinny on the most amazing heating and cooling systems to emerge in years. Ductless heat pumps are not your father's heat pump. Come find out why and play "stump the chump" (Q&A) with the presenter. Jeff Pratt of the Heat Pump Store discusses optimal conditions for heat pumps, installation and how long it takes for the cost to come back in savings. Jeff Pratt is a nationally recognized expert in residential energy efficiency with decades of experience with building science and technologies, and with energy efficiency markets and programs. For nearly 20 years, Mr. Pratt served as the lead residential technical consultant for several exemplary energy efficiency projects in New England. These collaborative projects consistently had budgets in excess of $100million per year. Pratt played a key role in development of the Northwest Ductless Heat Pump Pilot Project (over 10,000 DHP installations) and he continues to provides Northwest utilities and other energy efficiency organizations with senior-level consulting on ductless heat pump programs. Mr. Pratt also has 10+ years of residential contracting experience working with advanced solar and HVAC systems, and constructing custom homes. Pratt, along with wife Jan, established Home Energy Sciences, Inc., a heating and cooling contracting company specializing in ductless heat pumps. They have developed The Heat Pump Store to provide a place where consumers can see, hear and become informed about the most exciting residential technology to come around in years.
