After the initial assessment, Thurston Energy offers follow-up services and discounts to help homeowners make their homes more energy efficient and comfortable. The workshop will present information on high-tech diagnostic tools like a blower-door test to measure air leakage, and infrared photos, which allow the assessor to find where air enters the home, where the house might be missing insulation, if there is water damage, and more. The homeowner is provided with a numeric Energy Performance Score (EPS) that describes the homes current energy performance which can be compared to other homes.
