Learn creative, low-cost ways to Remodel using salvaged, reclaimed and recycled materials

An overview of designing and building with salvaged building materials.  Attendees will learn many options for building material and component reuse, and strategies for creating projects that can accommodate reused materials.  Safety, practical considerations and common pitfalls will also be covered.

Materials from the deconstructed horse stables at Site#12, Boyd Barn Conversion, were salvaged and/or recycled into the remodel, or saved for future projects.  Usable roofing and framing were re-purposed, concrete was recycled to become gravel and new concrete aggregate.  Old cedar and fir siding is salvaged and reused inside and on future projects.
