Puget Sound Energy
Flip the Switch to Green Power!
Puget Sound Energy is supporting the Green Tour and presenting the Green Power Challenge to local cities! When 1011 residents of OIympia and Lacey sign up, each city will get a grant to create two new solar projects. Thanks PSE!
This year, Puget Sound Energy, City of Olympia, City of Lacey, Thurston Energy, Intercity Transit, dozens of local businesses and thousands of residents are coming together to support independent renewable energy producers in our region. Together, we’ll reduce pollution, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and boost the Pacific Northwest’s economy.
Plus, when the two cities reach their goal of 1,011 new PSE Green Power Program participants in 2011, each will receive a grant from PSE to create two new solar power projects in their city!
For as little as $4 per month you can make a difference. And it’s easy to sign up. When you choose 100 percent green power for your home or business, you’ll:
- Avoid an estimated 16,000 lbs. of carbon dioxide emissions,
- Create local jobs in renewable energy, and
- Lessen our dependence on fossil fuels.
Nearly 4,500 residents and businesses in Olympia and Lacey have already chosen green power. Join your friends and neighbors in becoming a green community today! Click here to Flip the Switch!
And once you have, you can track progress on our goal by Liking the program on Facebook.
