Thurston County Solid Waste Department has been an anchoring partner to the South Sound Chapter for more than 3 years, providing major support for the South Sound Green Tour in both 2010 and 2011. THANK YOU TCSW!
Waste reduction is a key component of sustainability. The Solid Waste education staff works to conserve environmental resources through education and outreach, technical assistance, diversion programs, and advocacy.
The Solid Waste Program also operates the Waste and Recovery Center at Hawks Prairie and drop box sites at Rainier and Rochester. All locations offer recycling blue boxes.
