The Portland - Western Columbia Chapter of the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild provides leadership, education, and tools for sustainably transforming the built environment in the Western Columbia region.

Welcome to the Portland - Western Columbia Chapter of the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild!

The Western Columbia Chapter hosts many different events and educational opportunities, including social get-togethers, eco-building skill shares, and our annual series of educational sessions. Visit our events calendar to learn more!

The Chapter’s steering committee meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm. These meetings are open to all interested individuals -- join us to learn how you can become involved in the Chapter! Please email us for the location.

APRIL 24: Keeping your Eco-Building Money Local
Implement the lessons you've learned in our series to strengthen Portland's economy and grow your own business.  Learn about the locally-owned businesses that can supply your needs while investing your spent dollars in our community. Meet the craftsmen and building suppliers who will help transform your business while growing our local living economy.

MAY 29: 10x10x10 Green Building Slam
10 projects, 10 minutes, 10 slides...oh my!  Join us for this exciting presentation featuring Portland's best recent green building projects.

New location and time
This year's Educational Sessions will be held from 7pm to 9pm upstairs at the Zion Baptist Church at NE 9th Avenue and Fremont Street in Portland. There is ample off-street parking in this neighborhood, and public transportation very nearby.

Transit directions: The #6 bus line stops at NE Fremont and Grand Avenue, or take the new streetcar line to NE 6th and Weidler and walk or bike through charming Irvington to the church.

Happy Hour before events!
Join us from 5pm to 7pm at Free House for a casual Happy Hour. Grab a beer or a burger, spend a few minutes talking with fellow Guild members and green building enthusiasts, and be refreshed and ready to learn when the educational session begins just down the street at 7pm.

This year's educational sessions will be free for members and by donation for non-members and guests (suggested donation of $5 to support the chapter and cover expenses).
