North Seattle
In 2011, the North Seattle tour sites cluster featured twelve projects ranging from a typical kitchen remodel to a whole house remodel, with extensive kitchen & bath makeovers. All projects featured sustainable construction strategies and products. Tour Guides and signs were posted around the sites to help you know what green building features were in the project, what their benefits were, and where to buy many of the displayed products locally. South & West Seattle
Among the six projects in the South & West Seattle cluster was one of the first projects in Seattle to apply for Passive House certification. Other projects included a "Tree House" built into an established Seattle neighborhood, and several "major gut remodels" that were able to optimize energy efficiency in the process of creating a comfortable and healthy living environment. Eastside
The Eastside cluster featured two Net Zero Energy projects, a University Student Housing project, a modern, energy-efficient new construction project, and a new 32-home "smart growth" cottage neighborhood. Click here to see the Eastside Area map.
