Bellevue 41st is the first of it's kind group of modern-green single family homes on the east side. All home are custom designed to the client needs and wishes, are certified Built Green 5-stars and Energy Star Homes and achieve as much as 50% energy efficiency.
“We want to show that green building isn’t just for hippies,” says developer Yuval Sofer of YS Development. “Our goal is to bring high design and quite a high level of sustainability for normal people and to make it a nobrainer.”
“Our goal was to be 50% more energy efficient than building code using passive means.” The design of these residences are driven by the client’s needs and sensibilities, and shaped by the particulars of the sloping site, its views, the relationships to the adjacent buildings in the development, and the language of materials and details developed for the houses at 131st Place. We are able express the site’s slope in the approach to the house and its interior circulation, and take advantage of both the site’s views and intimate setting in creating living spaces that are open and flow together while maintaining their own distinct spatial integrity.
