ReStore LogoDon’t Dump It, Donate It!

Each day nearly 600 tons of garbage leaves Thurston County headed for the small town of Roosevelt on the Columbia River. Everyday people line up to pay to dump their trash, a lot of which is NOT trash. Before heading off to the landfill to dump your “trash” think of us first. In 2009 the ReStore diverted more than 360 tons of items from the landfill, that is over 720,000 pounds, a number which we hope to increase year after year. For a full list of items we accept check out this page.

The Habitat ReStore is the only landfill diversion center in Thurston County that puts all of its proceeds into building workforce housing in Olympia.

Saving Money, Building Homes

In these tough economic times we know everyone need to tighten the belt. That is why the ReStore’s prices start at 50% of retail and get cheaper from there. Each month our prices drop by 25%, saving your even more money.  We know you have choices for where you shop and when choosing the ReStore you not only make a decision that saves you money, you make a decision that builds homes for families right here in Thurston County. The ReStore is the ONLY landfill diversion program that supports the building of homes for low-income families. To get a brochure about what we do click here.
