SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced carpenter in the construction field ready to join a stable, close-knit, and family-oriented company. In this position you must be responsible and organized, willing expand your knowledge of the construction field, and share your expertise with others. You must be willing to engage in sustainable building practices and be open to learning. The ideal candidate will work in close collaboration with our clients, architects, and tradespeople, and share our commitment to craftsmanship and high performance.

This position will require you to be comfortable working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructures and has an eye for detail. Good working knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials and the use of all necessary tools is a must. S/he should be capable of working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards. If you think you are the right person for this role, we are excited to meet you!

SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
– Able to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches
– Accurately take measurements
– Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other materials (e.g., fiberglass) according to measurements
– Building window frames, doors, and staircases
– Install hardwood floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulation, while creating little waste
– Air sealing
– Tiling
– Painting and finishing
– Roofing
– Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
– Experience in green building practices is a plus+

REQUIREMENTS:
– 4 years construction experience
– This is a lead role
– Able to orchestrate project from start to finish
– Owns wide range of tools necessary for all aspects of construction and is willing to use them
– Lead teammates to complete project
– Strong attention to detail
– Responsible and organized
– Committed to excellent customer service
– Computer and smart phone proficient
– Dedicated to keeping job site clean, safe, and healthy on daily basis
– Critical thinker and problem solver
– Independent self-starter
– Team player / ability to work well with others
– Willingness to comply with safety guidelines at all times
– Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity
– Valid WA driver’s license and good driving record
– NO drugs, alcohol, or smoking
– Clean and well-kept appearance
