What is a Project Spotlight?

As a Member Benefit, the NW EcoBuilding Guild features innovative, unique, and sustainable green building projects on our website’s Project Spotlight page. We feature new construction, remodels, landscape designs, and energy retrofit projects.

Interested in featuring your latest project on our page? Become a NW EcoBuilding Guild Member today! Once a member, please email us a description and photographs of your latest project to be featured on our website at Info@EcoBuilding.org.

How do I join?

You can join the Guild online directly from our website’s Home Page and selecting the “JOIN” button on the right. Select your desired membership level and follow the instructions online. Choose between automatically recurring or one-time annual memberships. You can even gift someone a Student/Senior or Friend of the Guild membership! If you have any issues with the membership process, please email info@ecobuilding.org.

How do I renew my membership?

Members can renew if their memberships are active.

Renew online by logging into your profile under the Members menu. Once you have logged in, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your member profile page (at the top right corner of the web page header).
  2. Select Membership in your profile menu and select the Subscriptions tab.
  3. Your current membership will be listed at the top of your subscription history. From there, you can renew so long as your membership is Active, by selecting the Manage Subscription Button
  4. If you would like to change your membership type from recurring to one-time annual, or from one-time annual to recurring, simply select “Other Memberships.”
  5. If you are still having issues, simply email us at info@ecobuilding.org

Please note, that if you do not see some of the options listed in the above steps to renew, you may have let your membership lapse. If that is the case, simply resubscribe.

How do I renew if I let my membership lapse?

Simply resubscribe if you have let your membership lapse. For members who have let their memberships lapse in 2019 or prior, you may need to “Join” again as you may not have a profile on our new platform. If you let your membership lapse after 2019, simply log into your profile and follow these steps:

  1. From your profile (top right corner of the web page’s header), select “Profile” then “View” from the dropdown menus that appear when scrolling over your profile.
  2. Select Membership from the profile menu to the left.
  3. Select the Subscriptions tab to view your past membership subscriptions.
  4. Select Manage Subscriptions button.

Please note that we now offer two different types of membership subscriptions: automatically recurring subscriptions and one-time annual memberships. The difference is that the recurring membership will automatically bill your credit card on the anniversary of your purchase, while a one-time annual membership will require you to manually pay again if you would like to renew.

How do I update my contact information?

Updating contact information is done through your profile. We are fine-tuning this process for maximum member control and will update this as we complete the process on the back end. Thank you for your patience!

How do I get my username and password if I forget them?

From the login page, simply select “Forgot Password” which will allow you to request a password reset by typing in your username or email address. As we transitioned to the new membership platform in 2019, existing Guild members were set up with usernames that were simply their first and last names in all lowercase and no spaces. If you don’t receive an email from us after your request, please email us at info@ecobuilding.org

What is the Green Pages Directory?

The Guild’s online Green Pages is a directory of our professional members, searchable by keywords, category, and location. It’s how can search for professional members focused on sustainable building! Green Pages listings include your company name, contact info, and a description, but you can also add your logo, and additional links. Visitors to the directory can also send a message to the business directly from the Guild’s website!

How can I get my company listed in the Green Pages Directory?

By joining the NW EcoBuilding Guild at one of the many professional Membership levels, you will be eligible for an online Green Pages listing. After joining, you simply need to complete the Green Pages listing setup online.

How do I set up my Green Pages listing online?

Corporate Account holders shall be the member that establishes the business’ Green Pages Listing for the Directory. Ideally these members are business owners and hold the Corporate Account (i.e., the main administrative account) under their name. Alternatively, a business may set up a generic admin account, such as an info@ or hello@ general email account that is unlikely to change over time. This admin account is the Corporate Account holder and can update the Green Pages listing. Existing Corporate members may update their Green Pages Directory listing through their profile. To update your listing, you must be logged in. Through the Member Profile page select Membership from the menu. Under the Info tab, businesses can update their listing contact info by completing all the fields named “Listing.” To update your description, simply find your listing within the Directory itself. When you are logged in, you will find an “Edit” button for your listing only. Simply follow the steps to complete your update!

Do I have to be a member to sponsor an event or monthly education session?

While membership is not required to sponsor with NWEBG, it is highly encouraged. Besides potentially receiving a discount on fees and registrations, membership comes with many other benefits.

Can I Gift a Membership?

YES! Currently only the Friend of the Guild and the Student / Senior memberships are available to gift. You do not have to be a current member in order to gift someone a membership, but you will need to create an account if you are not already a member. Creating an account allows you to track whether the gift has been claimed. Simply send an email to the recipient and the email they receive will have a coupon code to enter when they claim their gift membership.

How Do I Claim My Gift Membership?

If you received a gift membership, you would have received an email (check your spam folder if you haven’t received it) with a coupon code provided after the “couponcode=” including “GIFT-” followed by 10 characters. If you have any questions or issues, contact us at membership@ecobuilding.org.

Sponsorship FAQs

Why should I sponsor?

NWEBG is a 501(c)3 and relies solely on memberships, donations, and sponsorships. Your sponsorship allows us to continue educating, networking and promoting eco-friendly and sustainable
building practices in the Pacific Northwest.

Do I have to be a member to sponsor an event or monthly education session?

While membership is not required to sponsor with NWEBG, it is highly encouraged. Besides potentially receiving a discount on fees and registrations, membership comes with many other benefits.

What is expected of me as a sponsor?

Depending on what event you choose to sponsor, there may be some requests to maximize the benefits for you and us. Any specific requests will be included in your sponsorship package.
Typically, you will be asked to:

  • Pay for your sponsorship in a timely manner (we accept multiple payment types, and in certain situations can set up a payment plan).
  • Provide Sponsorship contact information (preferred name, email, phone, website, social media, etc.)
  • Share a high resolution logo with us.
  • Provide a short write-up about the sponsor to share with our members/participants.
  • Promote our event.

Who does my sponsorship reach?

Our target audience includes Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia. Most of our in-person events are focused in the Seattle Metro area. Our constituent base includes building
professionals, homeowners, renters, property managers, real estate agents, students, and other eco-concerned individuals and organizations.

What is the difference between donating and sponsoring?

A sponsorship is a mutually beneficial agreement between the sponsor and the organization. Benefits vary based on the Sponsored event and level selected but generally include promotion of sponsor, branding, and exposure to the organization’s constituents.

A donation is a charitable gift and solely benefits the recipient organization. It may come with minimal promotion of the sponsor, such as a “thank you” on social media or organization websites.
*As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, donations (and possibly portions of sponsorships) to NWEBG are potentially eligible to be tax deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for additional information.
