2022 Slam Committee Members
You will join a core group of committee members responsible for the planning and implementation of the annual NW Green Building Slam event. Various volunteer roles are needed including logistics including: volunteer recruitment speaker management, sponsor management, content direction, strategy planning, day of planning, and communications Planning starts late winter/early spring for our in-person event on October 29th.
Board of Directors
We are always seeking new and engaged voices for the Board of Directors. Roles can include Advisory Members, Members-At-Large, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, and President. At minimum we are looking for people who are excited bout the impacts and the importance of green, sustainable, and healthy living to give a voice and help direct the Guild’s efforts. We are also looking for Board Members to build strategic teams to help fulfill important needs and collaborate with/oversee specific groups of volunteers and paid staff or consultants. As well as everything in-between. Board positions are an annual commitment with quarterly meetings (currently all virtual and, when back in person will also have a virtual option). We are actively seeking a Treasurer at this time.
Membership & Outreach Coordinators
You will work with the Membership Committee. You will be responsible for reaching out to companies, organizations and non-profits to advertise the NW EcoBuilding Guild’s membership opportunities. This committee has year-round opportunities with a late summer/early fall push for membership renewals.
NW Green Home Tour Committee Members
You will join a core group of committee members responsible for the planning and implementation of the annual NW Green Home Tour event. Various volunteer roles are needed including logistics, site management, sponsor management, site signage and/or site videos, strategy planning, site content, outreach, strategy planning, and communications. Planning loosely begins Oct to Dec for a late April/early May event.
Booth/Virtual Events & Workshops Coordinators
You will be responsible for attending events and staffing a NW EcoBuilding Guild booth involving the NWEBG as a sponsor, partner and participant. You will need to be well versed in the Guild’s programs, events and membership opportunities. This committee has year-round opportunities.
Retreat Coordinators
The NW Eco Building Guild puts on several retreats throughout the year for the Executive Board, Education Committee, and Membership. You will be responsible for planning the retreat, reserving any needed venues/virtual platforms, coordinating any food and beverages, take notes during retreat meetings and ensuring accessibility. The retreat coordinator will also work in coordination with the social media volunteer to promote, photograph and promote the retreat.
